Are service animals allowed in the Library?

Yes, service animals are welcome in the Library.

Service animals, as defined by the ADA,  are dogs (or miniature horses) individually trained to perform a specific task or work to assist a person with a disability. Any other type of animal is not approved to serve as a service animal. No service animals, regardless of function, can ever be disruptive in the educational environment.

Emotional support animals (ESA’s), comfort animals, and pets are not covered under the ADA and are not allowed on campus.
